Garden Grove cases do not go to Santa Ana. They go west, to the Stephen K. Tamura West Justice Center at 8141 13th Street in Westminster. Santa Ana is closer and more obvious, which is exactly why people drive there.

Because the Superior Court assigns Garden Grove to the West Justice Center at 8141 13th Street, Westminster, phone (657) 622-5900. Garden Grove borders Santa Ana, where the Central Justice Center sits, so the assumption is understandable – but courthouse assignment follows the court’s own city list, not the shortest drive. The West Justice Center’s nine cities are Costa Mesa, Cypress, Fountain Valley, Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, Los Alamitos, Seal Beach, Stanton and Westminster.
Where is someone held after a Garden Grove arrest?
Garden Grove publishes no jail, custody or booking information and names no custody unit in its department structure, so we will not tell you how long anyone stays at Acacia Parkway. County custody runs through the Orange County Intake Release Center, 550 N. Flower Street, Santa Ana. If release does not happen first, county housing may be at the Theo Lacy Facility in Orange or the James A. Musick Facility in Irvine; the Sheriff publishes no fixed sequence and no timings, so confirm the current location rather than assuming it.
What is the Garden Grove Police Department number?
(714) 741-5704. The City publishes front lobby and service counter hours of Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., closed Saturday and Sunday. Those are counter hours only, and posting bail does not depend on the counter being open. Confirm before travelling, because the City has published more than one set of counter hours.
Is help available in Vietnamese or Spanish?
Raise it at the start of the call. Garden Grove contains a substantial part of the Little Saigon community, and Vietnamese and Spanish are widely spoken here. It is far better to sort out language before paperwork than halfway through it.

Garden Grove Police handle the arrest and an Emergency Protective Order may be issued at or shortly after the scene. Under Family Code section 6256 an EPO expires at the close of judicial business on the fifth court day or the seventh calendar day, whichever is first.
